Hello all! We're officially reopened every day of the week this year, as COVID-19 is manageable enough where we can operate without worry. Thank you for continuing to use the Pantry!

2020 & 2021 have been hard for the Pantry with the pandemic causing serious difficulty for us. It was difficult enough that we had to close for most of 2020, into 2021. Thankfully, now we're on the process to reopening & we're starting with keeping the Pantry closed on weekdays, but opening it up on weekends. This means that if you want to use the Pantry or donate, you need to do it on the weekend; food left outside the Pantry's shelves will be removed. We hope to open up to full operation after the school year is over. Thanks for donating & using Marblehead's Little Free Pantry! Hello everyone! it's been a busy year, the word has been spreading, and this project is flourishing. We have a steady supply of donations and the amount of expired food being donated is dropping, plus our Facebook page has over 300 followers. The pantry is in excellent condition and looks like it was just installed yesterday. We are incredibly happy this has been such a success, keep up the great work community!
So far, the pantry has been holding up very well. The heat has had no real effects on it or the food inside so far, but we would still appreciate it if you could put the food into the shaded areas in the shelves if possible. Also, we would like to inform you that the door of the pantry has been sagging a bit, and in order to close it now you must lift it and than hinge it. We apologize for the inconvenience, but we are devising a fix. Thank you to our donators and thank you to those who use the pantry!
As all of you know, the storm we have undergone to begin 2018 was full of whipping winds, low visibility, cold temps, and ... snow. Lots & lots snow. We have gone over to check how the LFP is doing today, and we are happy to report that there was virtually no damage done to the pantry chassis. However, we are a bit worried about what might happen to cans left inside the pantry at these temperatures. So, we insist that you ensure the survival of the pantry by not donating cans. Cans could damage the pantry or the food within by exploding due to low temps. Thank you all for making Marblehead an even greater place!
Our first days running the LFP have been just fantastic! We have received many donations, and we have found people have shown genuine interest in our project. We hope to spread the word even further however, and you can help by sharing information about the Pantry & raising public awareness about the fact that the pantry is here. We hope that you will help those in need by supporting the LFP!
